Why Does The Wrong Kind Of Food Keep Showing Up In My Life

     So, today I decide that I've had enough, well, really its been a long time since I have noticed it, but today for the 10 thousandth time I've decided to do something about it.  

     So I have started with an exercise routine,diet and the  whole shebang.  I am going strong, I am keeping up with it, I am inspired, I am... receiving temptation in form of a chocolate chip cookie from my  boss.  Now, you would think, 'hey, a chocolate chip cookie is not that bad' yeah,  when you are a pastry addict like me and trying to slow down with that stuff, it is hard! 

     I have been staring at it since he brought it, and the thought that keeps poping in my mind is, 'FOOD, WHY DO YOU KEEP SHOWING UP IN MY LIFE??!!', now of course I have to eat, but what I mean is, 'THE WRONG KIND OF FOOD, why do you keep showing up in my life?'.  It is weird, if you love someone, you bring them food, it is a custom that we've had for centuries, we all do it.  To cook for others feeds our bodies and it feeds our souls, it makes us happy to eat, it brings us closer.  It must be something in our DNA that tells us that we must nurture our loved ones.  But, if someone brings us an apple, we are instantly turned off by this, and we think 'Apple!, gee, thanks... I would have preferred a cookie, chocolate chip cookie, like the one that is now looking at me and saying EAAAT MEEEEE!!

Well, at least I know someone likes me enough to feel the need to nurture me. 

The battle will continue, hopefully I will not fail to temptation.
